New car!

No time to write, as “MM” and I are about to go for a spin in our new car! I’m excited, as I’ve never owned a car before!

Today’s been a tiring day. Went to the gym for an hour, and then ran 4.5 miles. And I’ve just had two clients. Phew!

I’ll post a picture of the car once we get back! Watch this space!

I don’t envy that looong drive MM had coming back home. Have fun hot rodding and spinning donuts!

I have got absolutely no idea what “hot rodding and spinning donuts” mean! Let me go google.

OK, looked them both up, but still don’t entirely understand. Please help your little Scottish friend with these strange American terms!

Oh, come on, I find it hard to believe that you couldn’t glean from google what I meant. LOL You didn’t see the youtube of the car spinning donuts?

What I meant was when people are excited about having a new car, they usually take it out to test its “capabilities” by driving too fast, doing peel-outs, drag racing, etc. Ok, usually only teenagers and people like me do those sorts of things!

Oh, OK, now I see what you mean. Ooooh, no, there will be no “hotrodding” or “spinning donuts” for me. I’m terrified of dying in a car crash, so I’ll be driving like an eighty-year-old granny, never once going above the speed limit.

Oooh exciting re the car! I remember getting my first car – he was so beautiful (not in the slightest bit reliable though).

    Anyway, Happy New Year!

Here’s hoping it will be a good one for us all.

Yes, let’s hope 2010 will be a good year. 2009 was pretty crap, so it hopefully won’t be any worse!

This car should be pretty reliable, as it’s fairly new and a decent make (according to “MM”, anyway, as I know nothing about cars). Now all I have to do is learn to drive the bloody thing.
